What are the pros and cons of using a (hair) straightening iron?

I'm writing a technical essay in Language Arts in school about the straightening iron. So, I need to know all of the pros and cons of using it.


Also, if you know anything (emphasis on anything) else about the straightening iron that I could use in the essay, please include it in your answer. The essay has to be 500 to 700 words long, so don't hold back.

The pro's of using a straightening iron:


1. Makes your hair look good


2. Takes care of the frizz


3. Give you the look of just being at the hair dresser.


4. Give you the option of having Straight hair when you have curly hair.


5. Much safer than a regular clothes iron that people tend to use on their hair.


6. Makes your hair very shiny.





The con's of using a straightening iron:


1. Dries out your hair.


2. Can damage your hair if you are not careful.


3. Takes time to do.


4. Expensive. You have to pay for a good one because the cheap ones don't get hot enough.

pros: straight, non-frizzy hair, and really shiny hair





cons: after a few days of using it your hair get frizzy, it dries your hair (hence the frizzyness) and you can not use it in a hurry for 3 reasons, 1. if your hair is wet you can not do it 2. if you have not washed your hair in 8 or so hours you can not use it 3. you can not do it if you are in a hurry because you will brn your head, hand or fingers.

The Pros are you can get straight hair and change your appearance.





The cons are that you can damage your hair if you don't use the right products.
